📢 New in 2025: Registration Requirement for Furnished Rentals
Starting in 2025, stricter rules will apply to renting out furnished properties. What many landlords don’t know: this does not just affect vacation homes – it also applies to temporary furnished rentals, shared apartments (WGs), or rooms for workers (e.g. fitters).
📌 What landlords need to know:
- 📍 Every furnished rental over 6 months must be registered with the local registration office
- 📄 The landlord is required to provide a landlord confirmation certificate (Wohnungsgeberbescheinigung)
- ⚠️ Fines of up to €1,000 can apply if you fail to comply
💡 Important:
